Born in the small town of Hiattville, Kan. Nov. 10, 1889, Harry Bowlus grew up to become one of the notable community leaders in this area.Perhaps best known as the founder of Bowlus School Supply, he also had a career of 21 years as a prominent school teacher and administrator.
